When school’s doing your head in, who do you go to?
Your mates of course.
But who do you go to when your mates are doing your head in?
Your parents?
But what if they’re doing your head in as well?!
Doing Your Head In is a play about young people dealing with stress, families, school and verbal, physical, psychological and text message bullying, and the problems teachers have dealing with them whilst they’re dealing with problems of their own!
This production is aimed at Year 9 pupils [aged 13 upwards]. It could also be used to help facilitate discussion and learning amongst parents and to train teachers and workers. Each performance fits into a 75 minute session, which includes character ‘hot-seating’ and interactive questions with the audience immediately after the show – all of which is facilitated by the company. There is a specially written follow-up pack to support the play which ties in with current thinking and seeks to support curriculum work around the issues.
